State of New Hampshire Laboratories

State of New Hampshire Laboratories

Concord, NH

Harvey was awarded the contract to upgrade, renovate and expand the existing State of New Hampshire Laboratory in Concord, NH in 2002. The project was phased – completing a 40,000 square foot addition to the existing laboratory building in 2003 followed by renovations to the existing facility totaling 75,000 square feet.

The State building houses the Department of Health and Human Services, the Bureau of Radiological Health and the Department of Environmental Services. Featured aspects of the facility include forensic laboratories, inorganic and organic chemistry, state FDA laboratories, limnology, mass spectrometers, toxicology, and
agricultural programs. The new space includes BSL-2 and implements several new BSL-3 lab typologies and a state training facility for healthcare providers, focused on identification and testing procedures for emergency actions.

Construction and renovations were coordinated around normal operations avoiding any disruptions to the Health and Human Services Department’s normal course of business.
